Meet The Experts is a series of interviews with professionals in the field of Child Development.

Karen O’ Connor has travelled from Dublin to Toronto to London to meet with people who have worked tirelessly to find new ways of treating children with sensory difficulties.

Marie Slevin is a Clinical Developmental Psychologist at the Department of Neonatology at the National Maternity Hospital, Holles St, Dublin. She specializes in neurodevelopmental follow-up and assessments of preterm infants and term infants with neurological problems and has specialised skills in the administration of the Bayley Scales.

Karen O’ Connor along with Marie Slevin have published research which looks at Therapeutic Listening for Preterm Children with Sensory Dysregulation Attention and Cognitive Problems. It concluded that Therapeutic Listening is a feasible intervention for preterm children to improve attention levels and sensory processing skills.
